Brown Recluse. The brown recluse is unusual because it has only six eyes (most spiders have eight) and wears a violin-shaped marking on its back. Brown recluse spiders dwell in many of the same dark, sheltered places as black widows.

Most active at night, these spiders are nocturnal hunters and can survive for months without a food source.
